Sunny Silver Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. Knox gelatine
    8 large eggs
    6 to 8 Tbsp. lemon juice
    grated rind of one lemon
    2 c. sugar, divided
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Set gelatine to soak in cold water.
    Beat egg yolks, lemon juice, rind and 1 cup sugar.
    Place in double boiler and beat until firm and creamy.
    Remove from stove and add the gelatine; let cool.
    Beat egg whites very stiff and add remaining cup of sugar. Fold in cooled yolk mixture.
