Mom'S Shaggy Dogs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped dates
    1 stick butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    4 c. Rice Krispies cereal
    2 c. flaked coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    5 c. oatmeal (after measuring put small amounts in blender, until it turns to powder)
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    24 oz. bag of chocolate chips
    1 large (8 oz.) plain Hershey bar, grated
    3 c. chopped nuts (your choice)
Preparation
    Place golf ball sized cookies two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6-8 minutes.
    Makes 9 dozen cookies.
    Do not try to cut in half.
