Shortbread - cooking recipe

20 Tbsp. very fine granulated sugar
5 c. flour
1 lb. butter
Preparation

Sift sugar and flour together 3 times.
Place butter in a bowl and break it into chunks with fingertips.
Work in the flour and sugar mixture, a little at a time, until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Turn the dough out on a floured board and knead until it begins to crack. Roll it out 3/8-inch thick. Cut into triangles and put the triangles on baking sheets. Bake the shortbread in a moderately slow 325\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes or until it is very lightly browned.
Do not overbake.
