Mock Curry Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, diced
    5 or 6 stalks celery, diced
    1 c. rice (not Minute)
    1 1/2 pkg. Lipton chicken noodle soup
    chopped almonds or pecans (if desired)
    4 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Fry sausage until browned.
    Remove from skillet and drain off most of the grease.
    Brown onion, pepper and celery.
    Mix with sausage; add 1 cup rice (not Minute) and noodle soup.
    Put in large casserole and cover with chopped almonds or pecans, if desired. When ready to bake, add boiling water and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour.
    You may need to add additional water.
