Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce, shredded
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    2 spring onions and tops, sliced thin
    1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
Preparation
    Put almonds in heavy pan with 2 tablespoons sugar over medium-high heat to coat.
    Separate.
    Toss first 5 ingredients together.
    Just before serving, add almonds and dressing of vinegar, sugar and oil.
