Southern Spoonbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
1 c. water
1 c. yellow cornmeal
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients; cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Beat eggs at medium speed of an electric mixer.
Gradually stir about one-fourth of the hot mixture into eggs; add to the remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly.
Pour into a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Yield:
6 servings.
