Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten slightly
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 3/4 c. milk, scalded
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. almond or lemon extract
    honey
Preparation
    Blend eggs, sugar and salt together in a small mixing bowl. Slowly stir in milk.
    Add flavoring. Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in large baking pan of hot water, 45 to 50 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    (Drizzle honey over top (optional). Serve warm or chilled.
    Yields 6 servings.
