Ginger Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. soft shortening
    1 small egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. egg
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses thoroughly. Stir in water. Sift dry ingredients together and stir in.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes until almost no imprint remains when touched lightly with finger. While slightly warm frost with Quick Cream Icing.
    Makes 4 dozen.
