Creamed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. coarsely shredded cabbage
    3 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. evaporated milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper
    celery salt
Preparation
    Boil the cabbage in the water with the salt.
    Cook until cabbage is tender.
    Add milk, vinegar and sugar, then add the well beaten eggs.
    (Add the eggs very slowly, stirring rapidly to prevent their cooking on contact.)
    Add celery salt and pepper. Continue heating until eggs are thoroughly cooked, stirring constantly.
