Basic Shortbread Dough - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. unsalted butter
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 c. unsifted flour
Preparation

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add flour and blend. Divide dough into 4 balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets, 2 balls on each of 2 sheets.
Prick with fork.
Sprinkle with colored sugar; pat into dough.
Score with knife into 6 wedges.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes.
While warm, cut wedges through and cool on wire racks.
