Escalloped Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    stewing oysters
    saltine crackers
    butter
    milk or light cream
    Worcestershire sauce (optional)
    sprinkle of pepper (on top)
Preparation
    Brush bottom of baking dish with stick of butter.
    Layer with oysters, then whole saltine crackers.
    Dot with butter.
    Continue with another layer.
    Scald milk.
    Pour over all until covered. Bake in slow oven, 40 minutes or until done.
