Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. melted butter
5 Tbsp. lemon juice
grated peel of 1 lemon
3 well beaten egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour, salt and butter.
Add lemon juice and peel.
Add to combined egg yolks and milk; mix well.
Fold in egg whites and pour into greased casserole or custard cups.
Bake in pan of hot water in moderate oven (325\u00b0) for 45 minutes.
Custard will be on bottom, sponge cake on top.
