Old Fashioned Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
    3/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/4 c. soft shortening
    1 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine All-Bran and milk.
    Let stand until most of the moisture is taken up. Add egg and shortening.
    Beat well.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Add to first mixture, stirring only until combined. Fill greased muffin pan 2/3 full. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Makes 9 muffins.
