Tomato Juice Cocktail - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    2 large peppers
    2 large onions
    1 bunch celery
    6 whole cloves
    1/3 c. salt
    2 c. sugar
    juice of 3 lemons or several drops vinegar
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes and vegetables.
    Add cloves.
    Boil until soft. Put through fruit press.
    Add to juice the salt, sugar and lemon juice or vinegar.
