Creamy Broccoli-Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 tsp. margarine
1/2 c. diced onion
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 c. skim milk
4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
12 oz. skinned and boned cooked chicken, diced
2 c. cooked chopped broccoli
1 1/2 c. cooked macaroni shells
1/2 c. chopped drained pimientos
1 oz. slivered almonds
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In small saucepan, heat margarine until bubbly and hot.
Add onion; saute briefly (do not brown).
Add flour and stir quickly to thoroughly combine.
Remove from heat and gradually stir in milk, stirring until thoroughly blended. Return to heat and cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
Add cheese and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thick and creamy, about 2 minutes.
