Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Sift together flour, tartar, soda and salt.
    Mix all together.
    Chill dough.
    Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
    Place about 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until lightly brown but still soft. These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out with crinkled tops.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven 8 to 10 minutes.
