Apple Turnovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can sliced pie apples, drained
    vegetable oil for frying
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground allspice
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Toss apples
    with brown sugar and allspice in a medium-size bowl.
    Spread

    tablespoons
    apple mixture over half of each pastry round; fold other half evenly over filling.\tPress around edges with fork to seal.
    Pour enough oil into deep fat fryer or skillet to make 1 inch;
    heat to 350\u00b0.
    Fry turnovers in hot oil, turning often, for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden; drain well
    on paper
    towel.
    While still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve slightly warm.
