Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head crisp lettuce, cleaned and drained
    1 c. finely-chopped celery
    4 medium eggs, hard cooked
    seasoned salt
    5 oz. frozen peas, thawed
    1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 tsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
    Place into a 6 x 4-inch glass dish.
    Layer lettuce, celery and eggs (finely chopped). Season lightly.
    Continue layering with peas, green pepper and onion evenly.
    Season lightly.
    In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and sugar.
    Spread evenly over the top.
    Sprinkle with grated cheese on top and cover with plastic wrap.
    Chill for 12 hours.
