German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 or 6 potatoes or more, boiled, cooled, peeled and diced (set aside)
    1/2 lb. bacon, fired and diced
    1 large onion, diced
    1/2 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
    3/4 c. white vinegar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    salt to taste
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Add bacon to onion; saute.
    Pour off fat; add onion soup mix, vinegar, sugar, pepper and salt.
    Bring mixture to a boil; mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water and add to mixture, slowly stirring constantly, until desired thickness and consistency you want. Pour over potatoes and warm on top of stove.
