Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 cans French-style green beans
1 (15 oz.) can mushrooms
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1 c. light cream or half and half
3/4 c. almonds, slivered and toasted
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts (optional)
1 large jar Cheez Whiz
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cook green beans and drain.
Pour into a large Pyrex dish. Saute mushrooms and onion in butter.
Add flour and cook until thick and smooth.
Add milk, cream, salt, pepper, soy sauce and Tabasco sauce.
Stir until thickened.
Add Cheez Whiz and stir until cheese melts.
Pour this over green beans.
Add water chestnuts and sprinkle toasted almonds on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serves 10 to 12 people.
