Chile Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 can kidney beans
    1 can whole tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 medium onion
    1 stalk celery
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Chop up onion and celery and add to ground beef in large skillet or large heavy saucepan.
    Brown the beef first, then add the onions and celery.
    Let onions and celery get soft, then add tomatoes, tomato paste, 1 cup water, kidney beans, chili powder, salt and pepper.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Add bay leaf.
    Turn heat to simmer.
    Cook 1 hour.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Serves 4.
