Ingredients

2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped nuts, if desired
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.
Beat until creamy.
Beat in eggs.
Gradually add flour. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 9 to 11 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/4-inch cookies.
