Banana Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    6 c. water
    1 large can pineapple-grapefruit drink
    5 bananas, mashed
    2 (12 oz.) cans orange juice concentrate with water
    ginger ale
    rum (optional)
Preparation
    Mix sugar and water; heat.
    Add bananas, pineapple-grapefruit drink and orange juice; freeze.
    Set out to thaw (but not completely) before serving.
    Add ginger ale.
    Rum may also be added.
