Ingredients

1/2 c. uncooked rice (the long cooking kind)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. seedless raisins
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in the top of a double boiler.
Cook, covered, over boiling water until rice is tender and milk is absorbed, about 1 hour, stirring frequently.
Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
