Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, softened
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour, sifted
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly margarine and 1 1/2 cup sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients together and beat in creamed mixture.
    Roll in balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll in a mixture of 2 Tbsp. sugar and cinnamon.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until lightly browned, but still soft.
    These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.
    Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
    Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
