Nobby Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
3 c. apples (large slices)
1/4 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in apples, nuts and vanilla.
Pour into 8 x 8-inch pan.
Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
(Also good as coffee cake.)
