Peach Preserves - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
5 c. sliced peaches (about 5 large ones)
Preparation

Combine sugar and water in large Dutch oven.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
Add peaches; bring to boil and cook 20 minutes or until peaches are clear, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat; cover and let stand 12 to 18 hours in a cool place.
