Mija Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1 Tbsp. water
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. almonds, slivered (optional)
Preparation
    In a stainless steel or aluminum pan (do not use Teflon or nonstick) put first 4 ingredients.
    Cook on high heat, stirring until mixture is the color of brown sugar.
    Spread on a cookie sheet.
    Cover with chocolate chips, spreading evenly with spatula as they melt.
    Sprinkle on almond slivers.
    Cool.
    This candy is like a Heath bar.
