Cucumber Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    2 gal. water
    2 c. lime
    1 gal. vinegar
    8 lb. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Mix 7 pounds sliced cucumbers, water and lime.
    Let soak for 24 hours.
    Then wash 4 or 5 times, then soak in cold water for 3 hours.
    Drain.
    Mix rest of ingredients; add to the cucumbers and let stand overnight.
    Cook 45 minutes and put in jars and seal.
