Six Week Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) box Kellogg's Raisin Bran or Raisin Nut Bran or Banana Nut Crunch
    5 c. plain flour
    5 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. salt
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    3 c. warm water
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose or unbleached flour
Preparation
    Basic Starter (One Version):
    Dissolve 1 package active dry yeast in 3 cups warm water, using a glass or stainless steel bowl. Gradually stir in 3 1/2 cups all-purpose or unbleached flour. Cover with towel or cheesecloth; let stand in warm place (80\u00b0 to 85\u00b0), free from draft, until starter begins to ferment, about 24 hours.
    Bubbles will appear on surface of starter mixture.
    If it has not begun to ferment within 24 hours, discard mixture and start again.
