Elsie Style Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 large clove garlic
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. red pepper
    1 large can tomato juice
    1 tsp. cumin seed (3 tsp. ground)
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    2 heaping Tbsp. masa harina
    2 oz. chili blend
Preparation
    Saute beef and onion until done.
    Toast chili blend in skillet.
    Do not scorch.
    Add to meat; rinse remaining chili blend from skillet.
    Pour over meat; add remaining ingredients and simmer in covered pot for 2 to 3 hours.
