Marinara Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    3 cloves garlic
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 large (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. oregano or 1 c. fresh chopped basil or 1 c. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Saute garlic and onion in oil; do not brown (leave garlic whole; remove later if not desired).
    Add tomatoes or tomato sauce and chosen herb.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer for about 40 minutes.
    Serve over your favorite pasta.
