Almond Peach Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    1 small pkg. (9-oz.) yellow cake mix
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. slivered almonds
    1 9-oz. container whipped topping
    1 21-oz. can peach pie filling
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Put egg yolks in measuring cup.
    Add water to 1/2 cup mark plus 2 Tbsp.
    Beat cake mixture and yolk mixture together for 2 minutes.
    Place in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Gradually add sugar until peaks form.
    Spread egg whites on top of cake mixture.
    Sprinkle almonds over egg whites.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Cake will puff up and settle on cooling.
    Cool completely.
    Spread whipped topping over top and arrange the peach filling over the top. Chill until ready to serve.
