Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. each: ginger, cloves and cinnamon
    1/2 c. oil or shortening
    1 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, oil and eggs; set aside.
    Mix together flour, spices and soda; set aside.
    Mix together molasses and boiling water.
    Mix all three mixes together.
    Makes a thin batter. Bake in 4 or 5 (9-inch) pans and bake at 375\u00b0 until brown.
    Put layers together with dried apples, apple butter or applesauce.
