No Fat Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. split peas
    3 to 4 medium onions
    2 to 3 cloves garlic
    3 large carrots
    3 Tbsp. fresh parsley
    1 Tbsp. fresh dill
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Rinse split peas and soak for 1 hour.
    In large pot, put split peas in 8 cups of water.
    Chop onions, garlic and carrots and mix in the pot.
    Finely chop parsley and dill.
    Add with the remaining seasonings.
    Cook 2 hours on medium heat.
    Add water to thin if needed.
