Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    5 eggs, separated
    1 small can coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and Crisco.
    Add egg yolks one at a time. Add soda and flour.
    Add alternately with buttermilk.
    Then add coconut and nuts.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and beat in last. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes in 13 x 9-inch pan.
