Sausage Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. lard or Crisco
    1/2 lb. sausage
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 qt. milk
Preparation
    In skillet, put lard or Crisco and crumble up the sausage. Fry on medium until sausage is brown.
    Pour out all grease, except for about 3 tablespoons.
    Leave sausage in pan.
    Add flour and brown.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
    Keep stirring until gravy is thick.
    If too thick, add some hot water.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    Continue cooking for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
