Three Week Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage, chopped fine
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 to 2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix cabbage, onion, bell pepper and 2 cups sugar together and let stand while preparing next part.
    Mix vegetable oil, vinegar, celery seed, salt and 1/2 cup sugar to a boil.
    While hot, pour over cabbage mixture and stir.
    Refrigerate and stir a couple of times.
    Better if made a day ahead of time to be used.
