Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    3 c. raw peanuts
    3 tsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix
    sugar,
    syrup
    and
    water
    together and cook until mixture
    turns
    a long thread from the spoon.
    Add peanuts and stir constantly until syrup mixture turns light brown in color and peanuts are done.
    Add salt, butter and soda.
    Stir until thoroughly
    mixed and pour on a buttered cookie sheet.
    Spread as thin as possible and let cool.
    Break into pieces.
