Date Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. brown sugar
    3 c. sugar
    1 cube butter
    2 c. canned milk
    2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. chopped dates
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put sugar, butter and milk in saucepan.
    Cook at medium heat; stir well until soft ball stage.
    Add nuts and dates; cook to soft ball stage again.
    Add vanilla; beat until cool.
    Pour into bowl lined with clean, damp cloth.
    Cool completely and refrigerate. Cut into bite size pieces to serve.
