Shortcake For Strawberries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco or butter
    2/3 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat eggs, sugar and butter until fluffy.
    Add remaining ingredients, blending until smooth.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch flat cake pan.
    Bake until it springs back to the touch, approximately 20 minutes, at 375\u00b0.
