Fried Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and shortening until it is like meal.
Add milk. Turn onto a floured board, roll 1/8-inch thick. Cut in 3-inch squares.
Put 1 teaspoon of thickened fruit filling in center.
Fold in triangles and pinch edges well.
Fry in deep fat.
Drain and dust generously with powdered sugar.
