Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans (14 1/2 oz. each) chicken or vegetable broth
    1 can (14 1/2 oz.) chunky or diced tomatoes, salsa style, undrained
    2 to 3 Tbsp. tabasco sauce
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
    shredded cheddar
    sour cream
    2 lg. green onions, chopped
    1/4 c. chopped fresh cilantro
    1 Tbsp. lime juice
    tortilla chips
    Suggested variations: Add 1 c. cubed cooked chicken and 1 can (14 1/2 oz.) corn
Preparation
    Combine broth, tomatoes (with liquid), 1 cup of water, tabasco sauce, garlic, cumin and chili powder in a soup pot.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to low; cook uncovered 5 minutes.
    Stir in cilantro, green onions and lime juice.
