Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 slices white bread
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg yolks
    1/3 c. melted butter
    4 egg whites
    1 pinch cream of tartar
Preparation
    Break bread in small pieces.
    Place in mixing bowl with 1 cup sugar, evaporated milk, milk, vanilla, egg yolks and butter.
    Mix well.
    Pour into 10 x 8 x 2-inch size baking pan.
    Bake in oven at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Remove and make meringue.
