Hot Cheese Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion
    1 small can diced green chilies
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 lb. grated cheese
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Saute onion; add chilies and simmer 5 minutes.
    Add tomato sauce and simmer 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Add milk, water and soda.
    Stir and add cheese.
    Serve warm.
