French Breakfast Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar, divided
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. butter, melted
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
    Mix together 1/2 c. sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
    Mix shortening, 1/2 c. sugar and egg. Measure flour by dip-level-pour method.
    Mix flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; stir into shortening and sugar mixture, alternately with milk.
    Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.
    Remove from oven and immediately roll in melted butter, then the cinnamon sugar mix.
