Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 c. salted peanuts
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Place sugar and corn syrup in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Cook on High 4 minutes.
Add peanuts and cook 4 1/2 minutes on High (until brown).
Add butter and vanilla.
Cook on High 1 to 2 minutes (1 minute and 15 seconds on larger microwave).
Remove from microwave and add baking soda.
Gently stir with wooden spoon until light and foamy.
Cool on buttered cookie sheet (about 30 minutes).
Break into pieces and place in airtight glass container.
