Stuffed French Toast - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 (16 oz.) loaf French bread
4 eggs
1 c. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 (12 oz.) jar apricot preserves
1/2 c. orange juice
Preparation

Beat together cream cheese and vanilla until fluffy.
Stir in nuts and set aside.
Cut bread into 10 to 12 slices, 1 1/2-inches thick.
Cut a pocket in top of each.
Fill pocket with 1 1/2 tablespoons of cheese mixture.
Beat together eggs, whipping cream, vanilla and nutmeg.
Using tongs, dip the filled bread slices in egg mixture, being careful not to squeeze.
Cook on lightly greased griddle until both sides are brown.
Keep warm in oven on baking sheets.
Heat preserves and orange juice.
To serve, drizzle mixture over hot French toast.
