Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dry navy beans
    1/2 lb. Great Northern beans (dry)
    3 lb. ham hock
    2 carrots, diced small
    salt and pepper
    1/2 lb. pinto beans
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 tomatoes, chopped
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight in 10 cups of water.
    Drain and put into large pot.
    Add ham hock and 10 cups of water; cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients; cook for an additional 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
    Serves 10.
