Low-Fat Applesauce Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. oats (quick or old-fashioned, uncooked)
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 c. skim milk
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. olive or canola oil
    1 egg white
    1/4 c. oats
    1 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Preparation
    Sprinkle evenly over batter in baking cups.
    Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until deep golden brown.
    Serve warm.
    Makes 1 dozen.
